Z'BRDA Z'DOLA
Ours, together
This is about the zine itself - who we are, what we publish and what we don't. Everything else is in News and the other sections.
ZBRDAZDOLA.COM RIDES AGAIN!
The webzine started in Gornja Stubica in 1998, carrying on from three issues of a paper fanzine, and closed in 2009, though everything stayed up on the web the whole time. Now it is back in new clothes, seventeen years on.
Webmaster Nino Ciglenečki has worked through most of the old site’s archive with the help of AI, and built the sections around it, with links and figures pointing into that archive, and the contributors. Everything new is in English too. The idea is to keep it all short, clear and quick, above all the main thing - concert and event announcements, short news, mostly music, indie rock for the most part. That, plus literature, film and the rest, is written and put together by Darko Ciglenečki. There are new columns too, and concert write-ups. Everything old can also be reached through the site’s own search, Iris. The archive holds 5,222 files, 81 megabytes, 373 concert reviews from 19 locations by 15 authors (one big piece stands out, with original photographs from THE ROLLING STONES in 1998); 313 columns, 48 interviews, 25 stories.
Over 200 of Nino’s own live recordings of whole songs are linked from his YouTube channel, most of them filmed in the last six years. Nino also has his own part of the site, which did not exist before: he writes about hiking (his Komoot page records 190 peaks climbed), science and health, and he edits the AI and tech sections.
